Fiona specialises in representing children and parents in public law care proceedings and adoption proceedings when social services have child protection concerns. Fiona is a highly skilled advocate and regularly conducts her own advocacy in the Family Proceedings Court and County Court and High Court, wherever possible to ensure continuity of client care. Her experience extends to Judicial Review cases.
She has successfully challenged Local Authorities on behalf of parents resulting in the parents resuming care of their children and has represented children and parents in complex cases involving non-accidental injuries with expert medical witnesses.
Fiona’s skills and experience as a Solicitor-Advocate was nationally recognised in 2014 when she was short-listed for the Law Society Solicitor-Advocate of the Year Award.
